House Democrats Propose $2.2 Trillion Coronavirus Aid Plan
On Monday, House Democrats released a revised aid plan for citizens suffering from economic hardship due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The proposed aid bill is scaled back from the $3 trillion proposal by House Democrats a few months back that stalled quickly.
However, it seems that talks will continue to stall between House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin.
The proposal would return unemployment benefits to the additional $600 of payment seen in the early days of the pandemic. Along with it, most citizens would see a second round of $1,200 stimulus payments.
Republicans have been adamant about not spending over $1 trillion on another stimulus package regarding COVID-19.
