Mississippi News Group offering sports content from SportsMississippi.com
The Mississippi News Group is offering statewide sports content this season through a partnership with the Mississippi Sports Group (SportsMississippi.com).
The Mississippi Sports Group was founded in 2013 with a single website, TippahSports.com, and grew to cover sports throughout Mississippi. In 2018 they launched SportsMississippi.com and have covered everything from state championship level high school sports to the annual Egg Bowl between Mississippi State and Ole Miss.
“We are excited to offer our take on sports in Mississippi through a partnership with the Mississippi News Group,” SportsMississippi.com executive editor Jon Myers said of the recently announced partnership.
Founded in 2013, the Mississippi Sports Group is the largest sports focused digial media company in the state of Mississippi.
SportsMississippi.com posted over 20,000 pictures of local high school athletes in 2020 and shared video that was viewed for over 300 hours.
“We feel as though our news coverage will be strengthened by adding quality local sports coverage,” Mississippi News Group head of content Chris Kleyla said of the move.
