On Tuesday, President Joe Biden’s administration announced that pharmacies will begin receiving direct shipments of the COVID-19 vaccine, beginning on Feb. 11.
An estimated 6,500 different pharmacies across the nation will receive a combined one million doses. As production ramps up on more doses, distribution will accelerate as Biden works to fight against new strains of the coronavirus.
This will be added on to the 10.5 million doses that will continue to be shipped to states each week for the next three weeks.
Partnerships include pharmacies such as Walmart, CVS, and Walgreens.
