Mississippi Alliance for Retired Americans endorses Pinkins
Oct. 1, 2024 – Ty Pinkins has received the endorsement of the Mississippi Alliance for Retired Americans, a grassroots advocacy organization with 4.4 million members, which includes former teachers, auto workers, state and federal government workers, construction workers, and community leaders. Founded by the AFL-CIO in 2001, the Alliance has 39 state alliances and members in every state.
The organization is committed to ensuring that every American has access to a secure and dignified retirement after years of hard work. Their mission includes educating and motivating retirees to engage in national, state, and local elections, as well as releasing an annual Congressional Voting Record. Members of the Mississippi Alliance for Retired Americans are also actively involved at state and local levels, advocating for retirees on critical issues such as healthcare, housing, transportation, and consumer protection.
“The Alliance collaborates closely with the White House and Congress to guarantee that seniors’ concerns, such as retirement security and prescription drug costs, receive the attention they merit,” stated Pinkins. “Many Americans encounter challenges every day during their retirement years, making it essential to ensure they have the necessary securities. As a retired Mississippian, I know the importance of their work and I am truly honored to receive their endorsement.”
Pinkins is running against incumbent Republican U.S. Sen. Roger Wicker in the November general election.
