Vicksburg police investigate fatal shooting on Bowmar Avenue
VICKSBURG, Miss. — Officers with the Vicksburg Police Department responded late Monday and found a 32-year-old man dead from apparent gunshot wounds, the department said in a release Tuesday.
The department said the shooting occurred at approximately 11:57 p.m. on Jan. 19 in the 1300 block of Bowmar Avenue. Officers located Jeremy Bailey, 32, who was deceased from apparent gunshot wounds, the release said. The case remains under investigation.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Vicksburg Police Department or to submit tips anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS (8477). Crime Stoppers operates as an independent tip line that allows community members to provide information without revealing their identity.
