Utility energizes all substations, focuses on 3-phase line restoration
A utility said Wednesday, Jan. 28, at 1 p.m. that all of its substations are energized and operating as crews continue systemwide restoration efforts.
The company said progress is slow but steady, with a primary focus on restoring its three-phase lines, which serve as the backbone of distribution and carry larger loads for neighborhoods, businesses and critical infrastructure.
More than 60 crews from mutual aid partners and private contractors are working alongside the utility’s teams across the service territory, the post said. The utility also said it is coordinating with the city to energize wells and support water supply efforts, and crews are active in all areas today.
The utility thanked customers for their patience as restoration work continues and said it will keep providing updates. This is a developing story and will be updated as more details emerge.
