Two teenagers die in Jefferson County crash

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Miss. — Two teenagers were killed Friday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 552 West, the Mississippi Highway Patrol said.

The crash occurred at 8:52 a.m. Feb. 28 when a 2018 Nissan Altima driven by 18-year-old Kamarion J. Hyder of Port Gibson, Mississippi, left the roadway while traveling east on Highway 552 West and collided with a tree, the patrol said. A 19-year-old passenger, Dyamond Dee of Natchez, Mississippi, was also in the vehicle.

Both Hyder and Dee sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene, the Mississippi Highway Patrol said. The patrol is leading the investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
