Three juveniles charged as adults in Vicksburg shooting

VICKSBURG, Mississippi — Three juveniles have been charged as adults in connection with a shooting March 5 at the intersection of Randolph and Locust streets, the Vicksburg Police Department said Monday. No injuries were reported.

Police said officers identified the three suspects following an investigation and took them into custody. The suspects appeared in court March 6, where they were adjudicated and charged as adults, the department said.

Authorities identified the suspects as Zion Pierce, 16, and Brian Bell, 16, each charged with aggravated assault and each held on $600,000 bond. Kaiden Knight, 15, was charged with aggravated assault and shooting into a motor vehicle and was held on $550,000 bond.

The Vicksburg Police Department said the investigation remains active and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
