Pike County sheriff tours PALS animal rescue, office teases upcoming news

Sheriff Bryant “Wally” Jones and members of his administrative team recently toured PALS Animal Rescue, the Pike County Sheriff’s Office said in a post on its official Facebook page.

The Pike County Sheriff’s Office Public Relations Department provided photos of the visit and said “exciting things are on the horizon,” asking the public to stay tuned for upcoming news involving the Sheriff’s Office and PALS. The post included the department’s hashtag, #ServiceBeforeSelf.

Pike County sheriff’s offices typically handle law enforcement, public safety and community outreach within their jurisdictions. Community visits such as this often highlight local partnerships and programs that address public concerns, including animal welfare and safety.

PALS Animal Rescue is an organization that cares for homeless and surrendered animals and works to place them in adoptive homes. A visit by county law enforcement leaders can signal strengthened cooperation on issues such as animal control, volunteer engagement or public events, though the office did not outline specific plans.

We will provide more information as it becomes available.
