Pike County deputies recover narcotics, charge man after White Acres search
On March 23, 2026, the Pike County Special Response Team executed a search warrant on Sedgewick Street in the White Acres community, recovering narcotics, firearms and items used to manufacture illegal substances, the Pike County Sheriff’s Office Public Relations Department said.
Some recovered items field-tested positive for the presence of fentanyl, the statement said. Dekendrick Spurlock, 41, has been charged in connection with the search and currently has multiple felony warrants for his arrest, the office said.
Officials said Spurlock is believed to be armed and should not be approached if seen. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact Crimestoppers at 601-869-7141 or leave a tip online at p3tips.com. The sheriff’s office said all tips remain anonymous.
The search was carried out with assistance from the Parish County Line Task Force and the McComb Police Department. Fentanyl is a powerful synthetic opioid that law enforcement agencies nationwide have linked to a rise in overdose deaths. This is a developing story and will be updated as more details emerge.
