Oxford Police Department adds three officers to patrol, PACE unit
The Oxford Police Department announced that three new members are joining its ranks, naming Bryan Heredia and JJ Dukes to Patrol and Dustin Weeks to the department’s PACE unit, the department said in a Facebook post Monday.
Patrol officers typically handle day-to-day policing duties such as responding to emergency calls, conducting traffic enforcement and maintaining a visible presence in neighborhoods. PACE units vary by department, but they often focus on specialized or proactive assignments that support patrol operations and community engagement.
The department said it is “excited to have each of them as part of the Oxford Police Department and look forward to the service they’ll provide to our community,” and the post included the greeting, “Welcome to OPD!”
The addition of new personnel can help law enforcement agencies maintain response times and community outreach efforts as local demands evolve. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
