Oxford captain attends IACP Health and Wellness Conference in New Orleans
Captain Alex Moffett recently attended the International Association of Chiefs of Police Health and Wellness Conference in New Orleans, the Oxford Police Department said in a Facebook post.
Law enforcement leaders from across the country gathered at the conference to share ideas and strategies focused on employee wellness, resilience and building healthier departments, the department said.
The department said training opportunities like the conference allow officials to bring back information and resources to support the men and women who work in Oxford policing every day. It thanked the mayor and the City of Oxford Board of Aldermen for continuing to invest in employee well-being and making attendance possible.
The department said that such support helps ensure its team has the tools and training needed to stay healthy, supported and ready to serve the Oxford community. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
