Magee police ask public to identify person in photo
MAGEE — The Magee Police Department is asking the public to help identify a person shown in a photo released by the department, officials said Monday. Police did not provide details about the individual or the circumstances surrounding the request.
The department said anyone with information should privately message the Magee Police Department’s Facebook page or call the department at 601-849-2366. The request did not include a description, location or a timeframe connected to the photo.
Police agencies commonly release images and seek community tips when officers need help identifying people who may be witnesses, victims or persons of interest. Public assistance can speed investigations and help law enforcement confirm identities, locate individuals or gather additional evidence.
Because the department has not released further details, reporters and residents may have questions about why the image was made public and what investigators hope to learn. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
