Lee County Sheriff’s Office opens registration for 2026 DARE camp
LEE COUNTY, Fla. — The Lee County Sheriff’s Office says registration for its 2026 DARE summer camp will be Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Cadence Arenda on the west side of the building, the office said in a Facebook post. Registration will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis, the post said.
DARE, which stands for Drug Abuse Resistance Education, is a school- and law enforcement-based program aimed at preventing drug use and promoting safe choices among youth. Local sheriff’s offices and school districts frequently partner to offer camps and classroom lessons that reinforce those messages during the school year and in summer programs.
Officials provided a link to a registration form and more detailed information on the Facebook post. Organizers did not include additional details about eligibility, capacity or fees in the announcement, and parents and guardians seeking specifics are directed to the link on the sheriff’s office page.
Community outreach and youth programming such as DARE camps are intended to strengthen ties between law enforcement and young residents and to provide preventative education ahead of the school year. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
