Lee County Sheriff’s Department organizes GoFundMe for Deputy Haggard family
The Lee County Sheriff’s Department is organizing an official GoFundMe to support the family of Deputy Haggard, according to a Facebook post from Sheri Hall. The post says the GoFundMe is the only official fundraising platform established for the family and asks for community support during a difficult time.
Lee County is in northeastern Mississippi and the sheriff’s department provides law enforcement services across the county, including criminal investigations, patrol and community programs. Departments often coordinate fundraising or community support efforts after serious incidents affecting officers or their families.
GoFundMe is an online crowdfunding platform commonly used to raise money for medical expenses, memorials or family assistance. Organizers and local agencies frequently use such pages to centralize donations and ensure funds reach the intended recipients.
The Facebook post describes Deputy Haggard as representing “the very best of Mississippi” and lists Sheri Hall as organizing the page titled “Honoring Deputy Haggard’s Legacy with Love.” We will provide more information as it becomes available.
