Lee County deputies arrest Tupelo man on fentanyl charges

LEE COUNTY, Miss. — On March 24, 2026, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with the Tupelo Police Department and the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit, executed a search warrant in the southern part of Lee County and arrested Andre Deshone Green, 48, of Tupelo, the sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post.

The operation was conducted without incident, the post said. Green was charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (fentanyl) and was taken into custody on two circuit court capias warrants related to the sale of fentanyl.

A Justice Court judge set bond at $5,000 for the possession charge. Green remains held without bond on the two capias warrants, the sheriff’s office said. The post said additional charges may be filed later at grand jury.

Fentanyl is a powerful synthetic opioid classified as a Schedule II controlled substance under federal law and has been linked to a rise in overdose deaths nationwide. The sheriff’s office provided the initial details in its social media post; we will provide more information as it becomes available.
