Jim Thriffiley becomes president of Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers
Jim Thriffiley took the reins as president of Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers at his first board meeting, the organization said in a Facebook post Tuesday. Thriffiley, a Bay St. Louis resident, will serve a two-year term leading the nonprofit.
The post said Charles Britt was elected vice president, Ann Waller was elected treasurer and Sarah Jones was elected secretary. Outgoing President Keith Wilson was presented with a plaque in recognition of his dedication and leadership over the past two years, the post said.
Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers is made up of individuals from communities across the Mississippi Coast. Crime Stoppers programs are volunteer, community-based nonprofits that work with local law enforcement and the public to encourage tips and community involvement in solving crimes.
The leadership transition could shape how the group conducts outreach, solicits tips and partners with law enforcement across the coast in the coming term. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
