Jackson Public Schools mourns retired educator Mary Robinson

JACKSON — Jackson Public Schools is mourning the loss of retired educator Mary Robinson, who spent many years serving students across the district, the system said.

Robinson worked at Smith Elementary, in Property Accounting and as a teacher in the Exceptional Education Department at Hardy Middle School and Capital City Alternative School, Jackson Public Schools said. The district said Robinson valued the relationships she built during her career and took pride in supporting both students and colleagues.

Jackson Public Schools said Robinson made a lasting impact on generations of students. Her homegoing celebration was held April 4, and her family has asked for continued thoughts and prayers during this time. Condolences may be shared through her online obituary, the district said.
