Jackson Police thank Direct Auto CDJR for new patrol vehicle

The Jackson Police Department on Monday thanked Direct Auto CDJR for helping acquire a new vehicle to support departmental operations, the department said in a Facebook post.

Chief of Police Dr. RaShall M. Brackney, Ph.D., is pictured in the post “10-8 and ready to lead” alongside members of the department, the post said. The department said investments such as this ensure personnel have the tools and resources necessary to operate safely, effectively and professionally.

The post also said the department expects additional patrol vehicles to be delivered soon, which the department said will further strengthen the fleet and enhance service to the citizens of Jackson. Fleet renewals are generally intended to support response capability, officer safety and community policing efforts.

The department credited Jay Deville Johnson for the photograph and thanked Direct Auto CDJR for its continued commitment to public safety, the post said. This is a developing story and will be updated as more details emerge.
