Jackson police seek runaway 17-year-old Jeremiah Brister
The Jackson Police Department is attempting to locate 17-year-old Jeremiah Brister, the department said. Brister has been entered in the National Crime Information Center as a runaway.
Officials described Brister as about 5-foot-9 and 135 pounds. He was last seen with red-and-black dreadlocks, the department said.
The NCIC is the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s computerized database used by law enforcement agencies nationwide to share records on missing persons, stolen property and other public-safety information. Entries in NCIC allow officers in different jurisdictions to access and coordinate on cases.
Runaway cases can pose risks to young people and often prompt searches and community alerts. Anyone with information about Brister’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Jackson Police Department or local law enforcement. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
