Jackson police call Easter Egg Hunt success

The City of Jackson Easter Egg Hunt drew families and children for a day of activities and fellowship, the Jackson Police Department said in a social media post Sunday.

The department posted the announcement on its official Facebook page and said the event was “a tremendous success,” adding that, on behalf of Chief RaShall M. Brackney, it wished everyone a joyful and blessed Easter as the community prepares to celebrate Resurrection Sunday.

Community events such as holiday egg hunts are commonly used by local governments and law enforcement agencies to bring residents together, provide positive interactions between officers and families, and strengthen neighborhood ties. Police departments often use these gatherings to promote safety messages and community programs while offering a friendly public presence.

Details on attendance, sponsors or future community events were not provided in the post. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
