HCSO, JPD close administrative offices Monday over inclement weather

All HCSO and JPD administrative offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 26, because of inclement weather, the agencies announced in a Facebook post. The notice was signed by the sheriff and JPD Chief Tyree D. Jones.

The post said operations divisions will remain fully active and that all essential public safety services will continue without interruption. Deputies and officers will be on duty and responding as conditions evolve, the announcement said.

Administrative office closures typically affect nonemergency services such as records, permitting and community outreach, while patrol, emergency response and other core public safety functions continue. Agencies often close administrative facilities to protect staff and reduce travel hazards during severe weather.

Officials encouraged residents to stay safe, stay informed and use caution as the weather system moves through the area. For updates, check official agency social media channels and local news outlets. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
