Hattiesburg police responded Friday afternoon to a welfare check in the 500 block of 7th Avenue and discovered deceased individuals inside a residence, the Hattiesburg Police Department said.
Officers arrived at approximately 2:45 p.m., the department said in a social media post. Detectives and crime scene investigators remained on scene as the probe continued, and authorities said the incident is under investigation. Identities are being withheld pending notification of next of kin, and there is no known threat to the public at this time.
