Harrison County sheriff seeks help identifying man in church mower theft
The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to help identify a man investigators say took a zero-turn lawn mower from a church on East Wortham Road on Feb. 8, 2026, according to a Facebook post by Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers.
Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers posted photographs and asked anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers by downloading the P3 Tips app or by calling TIPS, the post said. The agency did not provide a name or additional details about the suspect in the post.
Crime Stoppers is a community-based organization that allows people to submit anonymous tips to law enforcement, often through a mobile app or tip line. Local law enforcement agencies frequently rely on such tips to identify suspects and recover stolen property.
The theft of a zero-turn mower from a church property can disrupt maintenance and impose unexpected costs on congregations and community groups. Authorities are asking anyone who recognizes the person in the posted photos or who has other information to come forward. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
