Hancock County sheriff asks public for help finding missing man

Hancock County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help locating a missing man last seen March 12, 2026, in the Bayside Park area of Hancock County, Mississippi, the office said.

The office identified the man as Steven Tomak and said he lives with his parents, who reported they have not heard from him since he left home. The post said Tomak does not have a working phone and his current whereabouts are unknown. When he left the residence, he told family he was going to visit a friend.

The sheriff’s office said Tomak may be in the Bridge City or Garden District areas. He is listed in NIC with reference number M988904961, the office said. Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers says it shares missing adult cases as a community service and that no reward will be offered unless an arrest is made in connection with this case.

Anyone with information about Tomak’s whereabouts is asked to contact their nearest law enforcement agency, the sheriff’s office said. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
