Exchange Club names Deputy Brown 2025 Deputy of Year

The Exchange Club of Clarksdale honored Deputy Brown of the Patrol Division as the 2025 Deputy of the Year, the department said in a Facebook post.

The department said Deputy Brown responded to 4,313 calls for service in 2025, including self-initiated activity. He made 108 arrests, including 15 felonies, 28 narcotics-related arrests, eight for illegal firearm possession, and served 22 arrest warrants.

The agency said Deputy Brown conducted 899 traffic stops, issued 198 citations and completed 1,442 extra patrols and business checks. The post said citizens frequently compliment his professionalism and that he is willing to assist both colleagues and community members.

Internally, the department said Deputy Brown was named Employee of the Month in both April and July. The Exchange Club of Clarksdale is a local chapter of the national Exchange Club service organization, which recognizes community service and public safety achievements.
