Authorities seek 55-year-old Columbus man in cocaine sales case

The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday it is asking the public to help locate 55-year-old Anthony Roland, also known as “Cackalie” or “Cack,” of Columbus. Roland is wanted on two counts of sale of cocaine, the sheriff’s office said. The U.S. Marshals Service is assisting in the search.

Anyone with information about Roland’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office or the nearest law enforcement agency, the sheriff’s office said. Tips can also be submitted to Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers or through the P3Tips app. Tipsters may remain anonymous.

Sale of cocaine is a serious felony-level offense under state and federal law. The U.S. Marshals Service frequently assists local agencies in locating and apprehending people wanted on outstanding warrants, including alleged drug sales.

Authorities said community assistance is important to keep neighborhoods safe and asked anyone with information to come forward. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
