St. Dominic raises Donate Life flag in Jackson for National Donate Life Month

JACKSON — St. Dominic Hospital and the Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency will mark National Donate Life Month with a flag-raising ceremony at noon Friday, April 10, 2026, in the Medical Mall Atrium at St. Dominic, organizers said.

The observance coincides with National Blue & Green Day, and attendees are encouraged to wear blue and green, organizers said.

The ceremony will include brief remarks from staff with FMOL Health | St. Dominic and the Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency, and a St. Dominic nurse will share a personal connection to organ donation, organizers said. The program will conclude outside with the ceremonial raising of the Donate Life flag.

National Donate Life Month, observed each April, promotes organ, eye and tissue donation, encourages people to register as donors, and honors donors and recipients. The Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency serves as the state’s organ procurement organization and coordinates donation and recovery efforts, organizers said.

This event offers the public an opportunity to learn about donation and to recognize those whose courage and generosity save lives. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
