JACKSON — Mississippi Blood Services is offering donors a $20 Visa gift card and a chance to win a $1,000 Visa gift card or one of two $500 prizes during a weeklong drive from Feb. 24–28, Darkhorse Press reported.
The drive will take place at three Mississippi locations: Flowood at 115 Tree Street; Cleveland at 609 N. Davis Ave., Suite 101B; and Oxford at 2627 W. Oxford Loop, Suite C, Darkhorse Press said. Donors who give blood during the promotion will be automatically entered in the prize drawing.
Hours for the clinics Feb. 24–27 vary by site. Flowood will be open Feb. 24 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Feb. 25 and 26 from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; and Feb. 27 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cleveland and Oxford will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. On Feb. 28 all centers will be open; Flowood from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Cleveland and Oxford from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., according to the report.
Mississippi Blood Services collects donations to supply hospitals and medical facilities; blood donations support surgeries, trauma care and cancer treatment. Walk-ins are welcome at all clinics, and appointments are encouraged. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
