Sgt. Smith, Officer Rogers attend Ole Miss career fair

Sgt. Smith and Officer Rogers are appearing at the Johnson Commons on the University of Mississippi campus for a career fair, a Facebook post said. The post said they will be at the event until 3 p.m. today.

Career fairs give students and recent graduates the chance to meet prospective employers, learn about internship and job opportunities and ask questions about career paths. University of Mississippi, commonly known as Ole Miss, regularly hosts on-campus fairs to connect students with employers across industries.

The presence of sworn officers at a campus career fair can offer students information about careers in public safety and local law enforcement, recruitment processes and community engagement opportunities. Organizers often use such events to highlight a range of professional options and to answer questions about application requirements and workplace duties.
