Oxford Police and Junior League Partner on ‘In Her Shoes’ Program to Support Domestic Violence Victims

The Oxford Police Department’s Victims’ Services Unit recently teamed up with the Junior League of Oxford to present “In Her Shoes,” an interactive program that highlights the challenges faced by domestic violence victims.

The program aims to increase understanding, foster empathy, and emphasize the importance of community support for victims. Officials say awareness and prevention are key to addressing domestic violence issues.

The Junior League of Oxford donated Ring cameras to aid victims in enhancing their safety. The cameras will be provided directly to victims and used as part of personalized safety plans, according to police.

The department appreciates the Junior League’s ongoing commitment to education, safety, and community service. Officials invite groups interested in hosting “In Her Shoes” to contact the Oxford Police Department’s Victims’ Services Unit for more information.
