MBI investigates officer-involved shooting in Gulfport

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) reports it is investigating an officer-involved shooting that involves the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department.

Around 10:15 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 27, deputies responded to a suspected burglary call near 10291 Merlin Lane in Gulfport.

Two subjects were arrested on scene and the other was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

MBI says it is currently assessing this critical incident and gathering evidence. Upon completing their investigation, agents will share their findings with the local District Attorney’s Office.
