Jones County Dollar General Robbed at Gunpoint, Armed and Dangerous Suspect Wanted

The Jones County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Dollar General on Highway 529 in Hebron around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday night.

Deputies say the suspect, dressed in black clothing with a black mask and distinctive orange shoes, entered the store carrying a long gun and demanded money from the clerk. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken, but no employees were injured.

The suspect fled the scene in a silver passenger car. Authorities are asking anyone with information on the suspect’s identity or whereabouts to call the Jones County Sheriff’s Department at 601-425-3147 or Crime Stoppers at 601-428-STOP (7867). Crime Stoppers tipsters may be eligible for a financial reward.
