FLORENCE, Miss. – A Florence man has been arrested after multiple stolen air conditioning units were recovered during a joint law enforcement operation.
On Thursday, August 14, 2025, the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department assisted the Jackson Police Department in executing a search warrant at a residence on Cleary Road in Florence. Investigators had received information linking the property to the theft of several air conditioning units from an address in Jackson.
When officers arrived, they located numerous units believed to be stolen, including those reported missing in Jackson. During the search, deputies arrested Jerry Allen Rawson for Receiving Stolen Property. He was taken to the Rankin County Detention Center, where his bond was set at $25,000.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing, and Rawson could face additional charges in both Rankin and Hinds counties.
