Toppers roll past Welch 83-52 in road victory

Nashville, Tenn. — Blue Mountain Christian women’s basketball beat Welch 83-52 Tuesday night, controlling the tempo from the opening tip and steadily building separation to secure a convincing road victory.

The Toppers balanced efficient offense with active defense throughout the game. McKenzie Williams led the way with a double-double, scoring 18 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Kathryn Echols added 15 points and six rebounds. Maddie Kirk contributed 14 points, six rebounds and five steals, and Rebecca Walter finished with 14 points and five rebounds.

Blue Mountain Christian forced turnovers, converted in transition and showed depth as multiple players contributed across the lineup. The team maintained energy and disciplined execution for all four quarters to preserve a comfortable lead.

With the win, Blue Mountain Christian continues to build momentum as the season progresses. The Toppers play at University of Tennessee Southern on Feb. 14, 2026, at 12 p.m. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
