Toppers overwhelm ABAC 95-63 on Senior Night

Blue Mountain, Miss. — Blue Mountain Christian University overwhelmed Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College 95-63 on Senior Night in Southern States Athletic Conference play, the school’s athletics department said.

The Toppers set the tone early and maintained control with efficient offense and steady defense. Blue Mountain shot 55.9 percent from the field and made 13 three-pointers at a 48.1 percent clip, the school said.

Several players reached double figures. Maddie Kirk led with 21 points. Isabella Carlson finished with 13 points and 14 assists, Kathryn Echols scored 15, Rebecca Walter added 14 and Lena Taylor had 11.

The victory served as a tribute to the program’s seniors and capped a strong home performance that showcased balance and unselfish play, the school said. The Toppers are scheduled to play at Loyola University (La.) on Feb. 19 at 5:30 p.m.
