Toppers fall to Dalton State 90-80
Blue Mountain Christian University lost 90-80 to Dalton State on Saturday at Tyler Gymnasium in Blue Mountain, Mississippi, in Southern States Athletic Conference play.
The Toppers remained within striking distance for much of the game but Dalton State extended its lead in the closing minutes to secure the victory. Blue Mountain Christian showcased balanced scoring and toughness on both ends of the floor, according to the school’s game recap.
Shannon and Baker led the Blue Mountain Christian offense, combining for 45 points with Shannon finishing with 23 and Baker adding 22. The Toppers opened the game with a strong tempo, moved the ball effectively in the first half and generated second-chance opportunities, but Dalton State capitalized on key possessions down the stretch.
Blue Mountain Christian will travel to Stillman College on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026, with tip scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Conference play continues as both teams pursue improved positioning in the SSAC standings.
