Visitor says they met with NASA Stennis leaders to discuss Artemis 2, Artemis 3

In a Facebook post, an individual said they joined NASA’s John C. Stennis Space Center leadership to discuss the Artemis 2 and Artemis 3 missions and opportunities for private company development at the test center.

The John C. Stennis Space Center is NASA’s primary rocket engine testing facility on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The center supports testing and evaluation of large liquid rocket engines and serves as a regional hub for NASA and partner activities.

NASA’s Artemis program aims to return humans to the moon and establish a sustainable presence there as a steppingstone for future missions to Mars. Artemis 2 and Artemis 3 are among the early missions in the program and involve crewed and lunar landing objectives that require extensive ground testing of propulsion systems.

Discussions about private company development at Stennis reflect a growing trend in the U.S. space sector to expand public-private partnerships, which can accelerate technology development and bring economic benefits to host communities.

Details beyond the social media post were not included. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
