Mississippi woman charged with cyberstalking after social media harassment
Tupelo police arrested Michelle Maxcy, 41, of Mantachie, on Dec. 17 on charges of cyberstalking, according to authorities.
The case stems from reports filed on Aug. 3 and Nov. 18 of this year, in which a victim said a known individual had been harassing and threatening him through social media and other communication methods for several months.
After an investigation, police took Maxcy into custody. On Dec. 18, Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Weir set her bond at $5,000 and issued a no-contact order with the victim.
The case will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury, police said.
