Lee County deputies arrest four in mailbox vandalism case

LEE COUNTY, Miss. — Authorities arrested four people Saturday night after reports of vandalism in the Palmetto area.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Department received multiple calls about mailboxes, structures, and vehicles being damaged. Deputies stopped a suspect vehicle and detained three adults and one juvenile based on evidence collected during the investigation.

The three adults, all 18 years old, face several misdemeanor counts of malicious mischief. The juvenile was charged with one count and referred to Lee County Youth Court.

Deputies say this criminal activity will not be tolerated. The investigation is ongoing, and more charges are expected.
