Jackson police are investigating a homicide on Lee Drive.
Precinct 1 officers responded to a residence in the 3600 block of Lee Drive, where they found a dead man in the front yard. The victim, a Black male, appeared to have been shot.
The homicide unit, mobile crime unit and Hinds County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene. Authorities have not released the victim’s name pending next of kin notification.
Investigators do not yet know the motive or suspect. The case remains open.
