Jackson police are investigating a homicide on Lee Drive.
Officers responded to a residence in the 3600 block of Lee Drive, where they found the body of a Black male in the front yard. The victim appeared to have been shot.
The Homicide Unit, Mobile Crime Unit and Hinds County Coroner’s office responded to the scene. Authorities have not released the victim’s name, pending notification of next of kin.
Investigators do not have a suspect or motive at this time. The case remains active.
