FBI renews $20,000 reward as Myra Lewis disappearance remains unsolved

CAMDEN, Mississippi — The Federal Bureau of Investigation renewed a reward of up to $20,000 on Sunday for information about 2-year-old Myra Lewis, who vanished from her family’s yard in Madison County on March 1, 2014, officials said.

Myra was last seen between 10:30 and 11 a.m. on March 1, 2014, playing outside her home in Camden. She was wearing white or khaki pants, a turquoise sweater with a bear on the front and pink tennis shoes. At the time, she was 3 feet, 1 inch tall, weighed 27 pounds, and had black hair and brown eyes.

Investigators say the disappearance produced no arrests and no confirmed trace of the toddler, making it Mississippi’s longest-standing Amber Alert case. Authorities and volunteers searched woods and ponds and conducted extensive canvasses. Madison County Sheriff Randy Tucker said tracking dogs showed unusual reactions at the property, and a cadaver dog alerted near the back of a side-by-side all-terrain vehicle on the premises, a detail he called “very strange.” Tucker spoke in detail about the case on the “Investigation: Homicide” podcast in 2025 and said he believes people at the property that day know what happened.

Authorities continue to receive tips from across the country. The FBI urged anyone with information to contact a local FBI office, the nearest American embassy or consulate, or submit an anonymous tip online. Officials said the $20,000 reward remains available for information leading to Myra’s whereabouts. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
