DeSoto County Offices Close for New Year Holiday
The DeSoto County Board of Supervisors wishes residents a Happy New Year, according to a post on the county’s Facebook page.
County government offices, including administrative offices, courts, and the Agri-Education Center, will be closed today and tomorrow for the holiday.
The county’s Animal Shelter will be closed to the public from January 1 to 3 and will reopen on Monday, January 5, during regular hours.
Trash collection will be delayed; Thursday’s pickup will occur on Friday, and Friday’s pickup will be on Saturday.
The Rubbish Pit is closed today and will reopen on January 2. Emergency services will operate normally during the closures, the post states.
DeSoto County reminds residents of these holiday closures and schedule changes.
