Columbus Police Conduct DUI Enforcement, Issue 199 Citations
Columbus police officers issued more than 199 citations and made six DUI arrests during a recent campaign targeting impaired drivers, authorities said.
The department also made four felony arrests as part of the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over effort, which aims to keep impaired drivers off the roads.
Chief Joseph Daughtry praised officers for their professionalism and dedication to public safety. He also thanked officers’ families for their support, recognizing their role in enabling officers to serve the community.
The Columbus Police Department commits to ongoing enforcement to ensure the safety of all motorists, officials said.
