Biloxi Clarifies Fireworks Regulations for New Year’s Eve

Biloxi officials clarify that fireworks are generally banned inside city limits, with few exceptions. Fireworks are permitted on December 31 after 6 p.m. through 1 p.m. on January 1, for New Year’s celebrations.

The city also allows fireworks on the Fourth of July and during the first three days of Tet, but only when accompanied by the Dragon Dance and with a special permit from the Biloxi Fire Department.

The fire department urges residents to prioritize safety when celebrating with fireworks. They should be used outdoors only, kept away from children unless supervised by adults, and never ignited near buildings or wooded areas.
