Gerry Lane Whitehurst, 74, of Alcorn County, has been charged following an altercation at Alcorn Central Elementary School on Monday, Dec. 1, according to local authorities.
Whitehurst faces charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assault on an officer. He is currently held in the Alcorn County Jail pending an initial court appearance.
