Southeast Lauderdale Elementary to Distance Learn for Two Weeks
Southeast Lauderdale Elementary School announced on Monday that all students will be required to partake in at-home online classes until September 2nd.
This decision comes not due to a multitude of students testing positive or being quarantined due to COVID-19, but the district is reporting very high numbers of staff to test positive or be quarantined due to symptoms of coronavirus.
“After conversations with local and state health officials, we believe this action will ensure the safety of both staff and students,” stated Superintendent John-Mark Cain.
