Hawks named new MMSA Director of Community Services

July 21, 2025 – Mississippi Main Street Association (MMSA) announces that Anna Hawks of Clinton has been named the director of community services for the statewide downtown revitalization organization.

In this role, Hawks will coordinate and supervise all member organizations and work with each local Main Street organization on their program service needs.

“We are thrilled to welcome Anna to the MMSA team and believe her skills and experience will be an asset to the entire organization as she works with our members on the growth and sustainability of their Main Street organizations,” said MMSA Board President Kelle Barfield.

Hawk’s professional background includes local Main Street program administration and leadership, as well as brand and project management for three creative agencies working closely with non-profits, tourism entities, and state agencies across Mississippi.

“I am honored and excited to have been selected as the Director of Community Services for the Mississippi Main Street Association,” said Hawks. “To join the momentum of this impactful statewide organization and get to work with more than 80 community members is a dream. I look forward to working with the current and future Main Street communities of Mississippi!”

Hawks was born and raised in Pontotoc and moved to Clinton in 2008 to attend college and then establish her career. Hawks has a Master of Business Administration degree from Mississippi College. Her previous work experience includes Main Street Clinton, the city of Clinton and three creative marketing agencies.

Hawks worked previously with Main Street Clinton as assistant director and more recently served on its board of directors and as festival director for the Red Brick Roads Music & Arts Festival. She also served as director of the Olde Towne Depot for the city of Clinton. Her more recent work with creative agencies produced a variety of projects for clients centered around organization priorities and goals.
