Forrest County Authorities Seek Missing Hattiesburg Man

FORREST COUNTY, Miss. – The Forrest County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a 59-year-old man who has been missing for more than a week.

Darwin Harris was last seen Friday, Aug. 1, 2025, leaving his apartment at 4507 U.S. Highway 49, just south of Hattiesburg. He reportedly told others he was headed to Jackson for a conference but has not been seen or heard from since.

Harris is described as a Black male, standing 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 260 pounds. He is bald, wears glasses, and is a veteran who lives with PTSD, anxiety, and depression. A clothing description was not available.

Investigators believe Harris may be driving a blue four-door car, though the make and model remain unknown.
